Arnie Dunn

After a successful career as an architect director of Campbell and Arnott, I am developing ideas-my art practice.

Louise (portrait)

I made a coin which celebrates a person, as is traditional with this type of object. I decided to celebrate Louise as she is worthy of celebrating and thanks.

The coin has two sides. One a profile of Louise and the other a display of medals earned by Louise on many Moonwalks. A worthy cause.

The coin sits in a bronze cast of her right arm The arm shows a little of what she has gone through, it tells stories.

The arm sits on a pink plinth. The plinth is perfect apart from an intentional slight blemish and the plinth contains sound. It shouts out the sound of geese in a slightly "out of control" way.

Louise likes the geese as do I. They have marked the beginning and end of seasons, as we circle the sun, for many years more than the timespan of the human.
